I think self improvement in the form that it's been pushed to us is adding to mental health issues. For the longest time I tried to be efficient, but when I started to feel generalized anxiety, all the goals went out the window. I only worked on keeping my head above the water. This is why I think self improvement with come with self care and mental and spiritual aspects to it, so that people can really benefit from it.

In the process of GYST’ing and following my intuition. Gave up a career in medicine to pursue writing, blogging, and, most of all, living.
