This is so true, as someone from Eastern Europe myself, I find that such practices and beliefs encouraged in many self-help books only apply to rich or mid-class white US citizens. Not only do they reek of privilege, but they are completely oblivious of other nationalities and cultures, and the struggle they face every day that makes it impossible to implement all the advice and fluff proposed by the authors.
